I just purchased Quadrangler 1.20 and it doesn't seem to do anything in my version of C4D R23.

In this screenshot, you can see the plugin has done nothing to remove the tessellation from the model:

Looks like the mesh was created by boolean operation, so cuts were made that result in triangles.

Quadrangler only works on quad meshes, that has been triangulated, e.g. by exporting to 3ds or other exchange formats. In other words: Quadrangler reverses a triangulation.

For your purpose you would need a retopologizer like QuadRemesher.
